Bandafaber Show

I am extremely satisfied with the result achieved: coverage and overall sound performance were flawless, despite the enthusiastic audience singing along to nearly every song performed by the big band, creating a constant and significant level of ambient energy. The system consistently maintained definition, balance and presence. Among its main strengths, I would highlight the speed and simplicity of setup, combined with excellent clarity and solid, well-controlled sound pressure.

—— [Marco Gervasio, FOH at MG Service]

An open-air amphitheatre, an audience of 1,500 and a charitable purpose that added even greater meaning to the music. The benefit event “Rari come Franci” brought BANDAFABER to the stage alongside two distinguished special guests for an intense and deeply engaging evening, marked by total audience involvement.

The venue presented several technical challenges: an open-air amphitheatre located in a frequently windy area, featuring a particularly wide and deep stage, with seating tiers extending across an arc of approximately 180 degrees. Such a configuration required careful attention to sound distribution and low-frequency control in order to guarantee consistent coverage and intelligibility throughout the entire space.

The audio system was designed and deployed by the professional company MG Service Pro to meet these demands with precision. Low frequencies were handled by four VIO S218 subwoofers in an end-fire configuration — a decisive technical choice to ensure directionality and control, especially under windy conditions. The main system consisted of four stacked INGENIA 5TR systems, while front-row coverage was provided by four VIO X205 units as front fills, maintaining tonal coherence and consistent sound pressure levels from the first rows through to the widest sections of the amphitheatre.

Within this technically demanding setting, the evening unfolded with remarkable artistic and human value. BANDAFABER took center stage together with special guests Beppe Carletti and Yuri Cilloni of Nomadi, delivering a highly participatory live performance in which the audience sang along to virtually every song, turning the concert into a shared and collective experience.

The system performance proved fully aligned with the occasion, enhancing both the dynamic impact of the big band and the vocal elements that are central to such an iconic repertoire.

The MG Service team featured: Marco Gervasio as FOH, Davide Alebardi as PA Man, Davide Zanetti and Matteo Bertelli as Backliner, Nicolò Damiani as Light Designer.
