VIO L210 AND VIO S118 TOGETHER AGAIN AS MAIN PA FOR THE SANREMO FESTIVAL 2021
March 2-6, the VIO Series technology returns to be PA for the famous Festival della Canzone Italiana, the musical kermesse that crosses the borders of fame from Italy to the world.
The VIO L210 line array system and the VIO 118 subwoofer complement sonorize the Ariston Theatre, which this year is hosting some of the most important artistic personalities of Italian music, emerging faces, and a new set-up for the conduction, participation, and enjoyment of the show.
The VIO Series technology returns to be the protagonist of the audio project for the Sanremo experience: after the success of the 2020 edition, the RAI team chooses the touring brand dBTechnologies once again to guarantee a quality sound coverage for the most awaited event of the Italian season.
The extreme versatility and power of VIO L210 ensures an accurate rendering, perfectly congruent to the needs of the acoustic environment of one of the most renowned jewels and landmarks for the Italian television culture.
This year, too, the system configuration shows an articulated composition designed in the smallest detail, conceived on the basis of the architectural features of the venue, which is interspersed by galleries and corridors inscribed within the central body of the building.
The PA consists of:
- 12 VIO L210 (6 per part) as main stereo for the acoustic coverage of the stalls
- 6 VIO S118 (3 per part) as a complementary subwoofer of the main
- 4 VIO L210 (2 per side) in stack on the sub as in fill
- 6 VIO L210 in stack on 4 VIO S118 as stereo for the upper balcony
- 4 INGENIA IG1T used as front fill
The 71st edition of the Sanremo Festival calls on the stage 26 artists chosen by the main Jury, in addition to the eight finalists of Sanremo Giovani, which will compete for the title during the traditional five evenings.
The talent of Amadeus, already Artistic Director of the previous edition and professional estimated for brilliance, dialogue, and communication skills, will guide the new edition; alongside him, the comedian, presenter, and show-man Fiorello, a well-known face of the made in Italy entertainment and eclectic desecrator of vanities and all the trend topics that involve public opinion.
The recent measures that affect art and entertainment sectors have profoundly changed the structure and nature of the program, which today, with stubbornness, temporarily abandons its large audience and relives exclusively for a television audience, thus opening up to new possibilities and reconfigurations, with guests remotely connected, special prevention rules and a strict control of all activities and operations that affect the pre-evening and their natural course.
