VIO L212 was PA in one of the biggest concerts of the season in San Pedro Sula: Juanes and Piso 21 brought to the stage a unique way of telling love and feelings.
It was an enchanting night made of music and fun, but also with a strong spirit of solidarity: the big stars went on stage to support the Fundación Hondureña para El Niño con Cáncer giving life to the fourth edition of the "Festival Noche del Sabor", which experienced intense emotions on the notes of the best Colombian pop and reggaeton.
La Noche del Sabor 2020 warmed the souls of the Sampedranos who crowded the Expocenter - an outdoor venue with a large capacity which needed a sound reinforcement system specifically designed on the needs of large touring.
The acoustic project, the setup, and sound management were responsibility of the Pro 504 technical team - a renowned local rental company, responsible for the realization of many prestigious events and the sound for the biggest concerts in Honduras.
The configuration involved:
36 VIO L212 (18 per side) + 40 VIO S218 as Main
Jorge Soto - responsible FOH Engineer - talked about his experience with the VIO L212 line array full-scale system: "The first time I listened to it and could play the role of sound engineer was the Air Supply show in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. We had 12 VIO L212 per side and 8 VIO S218 subwoofers. My first impression was just great, first when I saw its great frequency response, its phase response, then when I kept listening carefully I was surprised of hearing a system so natural that you hear it reach that frequency response not forcibly and with that fidelity; I think it has several qualities like its frequency response, its phase response and most importantly the stability in area coverage maintaining a great homogeneity. It exceeded my expectations again, achieving a great consistency in the long distance and allowed to complement well with the reinforcement systems such as in fill, out fill, and front fill. The sound was powerful, but without distortion and without being aggressive. The truth is that the sound of the speakers itself is already quite what I use as "my sound". A fairly plain response with some increase in the bass and midrange of the system; the fact that it is a plain frequency response also helps all operators to adapt their mix to the sound without any major problem for their consoles. I am very satisfied with the result obtained and now I'm excited for the next event".
